Welcome to my website. If you have come here, Dear Reader, you are most likely looking for information on vacuum technology,
vacuum tubes or "retro electronics". I hope that the site will be better with time (less graphically, and more substantively).
A few words about me: My name is Aleksander Zawada, and my hobby is widely understood tube technology.
For some time, however, I have focused on the issues of the construction of vacuum tubes.
Since the production of tubes requires high vacuum, the ability to prepare cathodes, fusion of glass culverts,
joining glass and many other activities, so the scope of my interests is quite wide.
My work is related to my hobby, because in my professional work I deal with vacuum applications and measurement.
From June 2006 to September 2007, I was an employee of the Laboratory of Vacuum Equipment at the Industrial Institute of Electronics
From September 2007 to May 2009, I was an employee of the Department of Vacuum Equipment at the Tele and Radio Research Institute
From May 2009 I am an employee of the Research and Measurement Laboratory of Vacuum Technology at the Tele- and Radio Research Institute
From September 2009 to September 2011, I cooperated with the Andrzej Sołtan Institute for Nuclear Studies in Świerk
From September 2011 to August 2014, I cooperated with the National Center for Nuclear Research,
at the Experimental Department of Nuclear Equipment and the Department of Interdisciplinary Physics Applications.
From 2012 to 2019, I cooperated with the Institute of Optoelectronics of the Military University of Technology in Warsaw.
Since 2022, I have been cooperating with the Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
From September 2007 to February 2013, I was the deputy chairman of NSZZ SOLIDARNOSC '80 at the Tele and Radio Research Institute,
and after a few years' break, I am back in this position at the Łukasiewicz Research Network - Tele and Radio Research Institute.
Since 2008, I have been a member of the Polish Vacuum Society, being the treasurer of this society since 2010.
I'm interested in TV-retro, Radio-retro and Telecommunications-retro. In my modest collection there are several tube TV sets, vidicon cameras and an MTV10 video recorder.
Perhaps this collection will grow over time.
I invite you to visit and use my website.
